My name is Natalie, and in 2020, at the age of 33, I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I was told there was no cure available. Unlike some patients, I didn’t have a genetic mutation, which meant I wasn’t a candidate for targeted drugs.
Over the years, I underwent a variety of treatments, including four different types of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and three clinical trials. Despite the challenges, I kept fighting and searching for hope.
Last year, I was referred to a hospital, where I was considered a candidate for a bilateral lung transplant. In November, I underwent the surgery that changed my life forever. Today, I am cancer-free.
I am deeply grateful for this second chance and the ability to share my story and journey to inspire hope and raise awareness for others facing similar battles.
